TANDEM Madrid’s cultural program, the perfect complement to your Spanish classes
Studying Spanish in Madrid is an exciting adventure highly recommended at any age. Whether you are a teenager, are already in university or want to improve your chances of finding a job with a Spanish course in Spain, Madrid is the perfect place to do it.
In addition to the welcoming character of the people of Madrid and the many tourist attractions of the city, its full agenda of cultural activities, its many bars and restaurants and its famous nightlife make Madrid a destination with never-ending plans every day of the week. There are so many alternatives for all tastes and pockets with which to enjoy Madrid that you’ll appreciate a helping hand to help you get the most out of the city.
A cultural program to “live” Madrid as a Madrid citizen
At TANDEM Madrid, besides a wide range of Spanish courses for international students of all levels of Spanish, we have a complete cultural program.
Specially designed for the most active foreign students interested in continuing to learn Spanish after their classes, it is also open to students who learn English and German at our school.
The main goal of TANDEM Madrid’s cultural program is that our students “live” Madrid as if they were just another inhabitant of the city instead of tourists. That is why we have the help of our Spanish teachers and other teachers who, in addition to teaching Spanish, also have deep knowledge in performing arts, painting, architecture, movies…
This is the perfect complement to your Spanish classes at our school where not only you will be able to practice your Spanish, you will also dive into Madrid’s culture (also known as “castiza”) and get to know the most emblematic places in Madrid while having fun and meeting other people with whom you can make friends.
Custom activities for the most demanding Spanish students
Furthermore, if you have other cultural and leisure interests not included in our cultural program, you can now also book a large number of activities tailored to your personal tastes and preferences.
Visiting the most important museums in the city (the Museo del Prado, the Reina Sofía, the Thyssen-Bornemisza or the Museo Arqueológico Nacional) and other less known museums such as the Museo Romántico, Museo Sorolla or the Lázaro Galdiano, getting to know the Palacio Real (Royal Palace) or stepping on the arena of the Plaza de las Ventas (bullring) are some of the proposals you can choose from. You can also learn to dance flamenco or salsa, take Spanish guitar lessons or enjoy the activities of Madrid’s numerous cultural centers: exhibitions, concerts, theater plays…
Food lovers will find gastronomic plans such as wine tastings, visits to some of the city’s markets for tapas or advice on buying Spanish products, as well as personal shopper services.
Nature lovers will have at their disposal guided visits to the Jardines de Sabatini, El Retiro park or the Jardín Botánico, authentic green lungs at the very heart of Madrid; or trips to other towns in the region such as El Escorial, Alcalá de Henares and Aranjuez or close to Madrid such as Segovia or Toledo.
