In Spain, COVID-19 infections have been reduced considerably. For this reason, the time has come to de-escalate and in TANDEM Madrid, following the indications of the health authorities, we have reopened our secretariat and plan to open soon (on June 22, 2020) our classrooms for Spanish courses. The online Spanish courses will continue.
We have disinfected the school and adapted it with specific signals, sanitation points, and student flow control. The classrooms will be at 30% of their capacity to increase safety.
The first students will be able to come to TANDEM from June 22nd in small groups. The secretariat will be open from the week of 8th June.
At TANDEM we have worked very hard during confinement and now in de-climbing to provide a safe learning environment for our students. Among other measures, we have created a safety committee to control that all protocols are followed. All this has led us to obtain the certificate “ESCUELA ELE SEGURA – COVID 19” (Safe Spanish school), from the network of Spanish schools in Spain*.
To do this, we will carry out strict controls at the entrance to the school: hand disinfection with hydroalcoholic gel is obligatory and temperature will be taken. The use of a respiratory mask inside our building will also be compulsory. Also, we have installed protective screens in the secretary’s office and the teachers will wear an insulating screen to teach safely.
In addition, we will use only the largest classrooms, with windows to the street to allow for frequent ventilation.
As another important measure, classes will be paperless to avoid risks.
We are going to take sure steps to gradually restore the rhythm to which we were used to. We are counting on your collaboration at all times to ensure that the de-escalation goes safely.
We would love to welcome you back to TANDEM Madrid
See you soon!
* Obtaining this certificate does not guarantee that the school is free of risk from COVID-19 and therefore this condition should not and cannot be certified.
Safe School certification means compliance with a series of established measures that can improve security for the prevention of infection but, as has been said, never guarantee that it is a coronavirus-free establishment.
Information for the student: This stamp certifies that the schools have contingency plans to reduce the possibilities of contagion in the teaching center and to stop the expansion in the face of possible outbreaks of COVID-19. However, we cannot guarantee the inexistence of risk due to the changing epidemiological situation in which we find ourselves and the personal responsibility of each user.
