LAURA GUERRA

Teacher

“If I can’t travel the world, let the world come to me”. With this idea, my vocation as a Spanish teacher was born, and, without realizing it, I have been dedicated to teaching Spanish as a foreign language and teacher training for almost twenty years. I am a Spanish teacher, and I also support other teachers to become enthusiastic disseminators of our language and culture.

With a degree in Art History from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, I began my path in language teaching with a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at the Universidad Nebrija, which I expanded with a second Master’s degree, and in which I continue to deepen as a doctoral student in the Department of Applied Languages and Education at the same university. Since then, I have not stopped participating in conferences and workshops for teachers, convinced that updating and exchanging are key in our profession.

I have worked as a Spanish teacher since 2007, with students from all over the world and in very diverse courses, and since 2016, I have been an associate professor in the Master of Didactics of ELE at Nebrija University. In addition, I collaborate in the creation of materials, manuals, and official exams, and my research focuses on grammar and cognitive linguistics applied to ELE. Currently, I am a teacher at TANDEM MADRID, where I continue to grow and have fun with my students and colleagues.
