The week from the 7th to 11th of July, a special group visited TANDEM. For the first time at our school we could welcome guests in the spanish group program from Thailand. 13 children and their parents made this week a very memorable one, not just for us but also for them.
Apart from the Spanish language course especially designed for children in our beautifully decorated kids’ room, we organized an extensive program full of activities especially prepared to cater for their needs and wishes.
During the times of the course and the activities, the parents didn’t have to worry about anything: TANDEM assumed full responsibility and at least three or four tutors took care of our little guests.
To give you an impression of all the things you can do at TANDEM, I will tell you about our program: First, we took them to a cooking workshop. After a short introduction, we continued with the entertaining part of mixing all ingredients and kneading the dough. The children were really excited about their results and, as you can see, the biscuits turned out to be delicious.
After the cooking adventure they had time to play and learn at the same place, called Mr. Willbe´s, which is especially designed for kids offering a range of different spaces. Shelves full of books and comics in Spanish, toys all over the place and finally a movie with Spanish subtitles were a complete success just as the plasticine workshop to develop the children´s creativity. And I almost forgot to mention, it´s a place where you´re allowed to paint on the walls – all in all, a place all kids dream about!
Of course there had to be a sports’ session, so we took our little guests to play golf. Professional golf teachers were waiting for the children to spend a nice day on the golf course. They spent a great time hitting the golf balls all over the field. As you can see, some of them have potential to become professional players 😉
At TANDEM you won’t get bored, because we always think about new and exciting activities. “Hands up or I´ll shoot!” Don´t worry, it’s just a joke, but our little pirates were quite convincing in their disguises. They fought so much to rescue our beautiful princesses, but happily, both princesses and pirates are still alive and kicking.
Back at our school, we hired a special catering service that provided Thai cuisine on a daily basis. We wanted to make them feel at home. After finishing their meals, the children started their Spanish classes with renewed energy, singing songs and playing games to teach them Spanish in an entertaining way.
No matter how big your group is, if you´re coming to visit us with your family or friends, with children or with seniors – WE´LL MAKE YOUR STAY UNIQUE!
