Last Sunday 12th March we welcomed 30 students and 3 teachers from the Lyceé Bellepierre of Reunion Island to Madrid.
We would like to thank the three teachers: Nathalie Champigneul, Eric Partula and Lineda Soundron for organising this linguistic and cultural trip to Madrid and for their confidence in our school TANDEM MADRID.
This year is our 35th anniversary and we are excited to continue teaching Spanish to students from different generations: We started with the parents and continue to welcome their children.
Our aim has always been and continues to be to promote the learning of Spanish with a humanistic approach, aimed at the whole person and oriented towards understanding and understanding between people from different countries and cultures.
The group of students between 15 and 18 years old from the Lyceé Bellepierre will combine their Spanish classes at TANDEM, from 9.30 to 13.00 every day, with cultural activities, always didactic and oriented to continue learning and practising Spanish outside the classroom and soaking up the Spanish culture.
Cultural Programme TANDEM
Special for the Lyceé Bellepierre
Day 1, Sunday
Arrival at Madrid airport
Reception at the school
The director of TANDEM MADRID, Begoña Llovet, and the head of International Marketing, Mercedes Guerrero, always meet students and teachers at the school to welcome them, give them information about the city and the accommodation they have chosen, in this case host families.
Accommodation
The students from Reunion Island stayed in host families with half board, the best option for a complete immersion in the Spanish culture. They had dinner with their families every day, which gave them the opportunity to practice their Spanish and learn about our customs.
Our families are carefully selected. They have been working with TANDEM for an average of ten years and like having students of other nationalities in their home because they also learn from other cultures. It is a mutual enrichment.
Next to the school: Bank of Spain and Town Hall.
