TANDEM Madrid has hosted a group of senior students from Finland aged between 60 and 82. Very active people, full of vitality, eager to learn Spanish and to get to know Madrid and its culture.
This group has been with us for a whole week and, in addition to the Spanish classes, in the mornings, the students have participated in a tailor-made cultural programme. Some of the activities included visits to museums and cultural centres, walks around the centre, an excursion to El Escorial, among others. They have also enjoyed a lot of Spanish gastronomy: paella, chocolate with churros, tapas…
The participants especially highlight the Spanish classes. “I’ve learned a lot, I know more Spanish now,” says one of them. “The teachers are very good,” adds another. Gastronomy has also been a strong point of the programme.
