In November, we had the opportunity to take two groups of secondary school students from Biskupské Gymnázium in Brno to Spain in order to do a Spanish course. We chose Madrid and TANDEM Escuela Internacional, as we had a very good experience there some years ago, when we frequently participated in teacher training courses at the school.
The two weeks in Madrid were an extraordinary and fantastic experience. Our students were overwhelmed by the affectionate and motivating attitude of the TANDEM teachers and their modern and efficient teaching methods. Everybody learned a lot in just one week and left the school with enthusiasm and looking forward to come back to this language center one day.
What our students even liked more, was the cultural programme, which was very attractive and diverse, and included a bit of everything: from a walk through Madrid of the Austrians to a Flamenco class; as well as sightseeing tours to Toledo and Segovia. Our cultural guide, Sonia, was so friendly, outstanding and professional that we’ll never forget the hours we spent with her. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts, Sonia!
Furthermore, we’d like to express our gratitude to all the TANDEM staff, but especially to the two directors, Begoña and Matilde, for their hospitality and their constant good will to fulfill all our expectations.

If you arrive at a building of original architecture, with a beautiful patio and a staircase in the entrance hall that makes you feel as if you were in a palace, you’ve come to the right place: the language school in Madrid we visited with our group from the Czech Republic. I loved practically everything of the course: the atmosphere, the way of teaching, the teachers…
I was surprised by the originality, energy and fun the classes were held with. Also, the evening programme was perfectly organized and our guide was incredible. For this reason, we were never bored. If I had the opportunity to visit the school again, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second.
