I have had the great honour and pleasure of carrying out the new translation of Michael Ende’s famous novel, Momo (1973), for the Santillana publishing house.

The Spanish version of Momo was first published by Alfaguara in 1984, translated by Susana Constante.

translation of Momo, by Michael Ende, by Begoña Llovet In 2013 Santillana commissioned me to translate the novel and I set to work, full of enthusiasm and emotion.

The translation has been very well received. I can only say that I have put all my talent as a translator into the endeavour and that I have written every single line of the Spanish version with passion and great emotion. I thank Santillana for the trust placed in me. I have felt a lot of responsibility, as it is a landmark book that has been a wonderful discovery in many people’s lives. I can only invite you to read it and reflect on what it says.

It is beautiful and tremendously topical. Good reading.
