Testimonial by Sara Erdos

Dear All 🙂 :

To begin with, I would like to say thank you for everything I have received this week. For me, it is incomprehensible how much I have learned by visiting your school, TANDEM. I am not only talking about what I have studied but also about what I have been taught about life. In fact, you have shown me a different world, a very positive point of view.

Before winning the scholarship, my dream was to study at a Spanish university. For this dream I have studied so hard, in order to achieve it. When I started the course in September, I realised that I only had one year left to decide about my future, about my university studies. I started to look for information about Spanish universities and also asked for help from my professors.

Upon hearing about my plans, my teachers told me that it would be very difficult, almost impossible for me to get into a Spanish university. I was told I wouldn’t be able to do it. The truth is that by telling me this, I lost my enthusiasm. I started to look for other plans as my dream according to others would always remain just a dream. However, you helped me to regain my enthusiasm.

I have been told so many good things about my personality as well as about my Spanish, that now I feel strong enough to keep on having my dream and to finally achieve it. TANDEM is like a family and I am very happy that I had the chance to be part of this family that welcomed me from the very first moment. Even I am surprised that all this happened in one week.

I would like to thank all the teachers who taught me (Cristina, María Jesús, Laura and Francisco) for being such wonderful people and such good teachers. I wish they taught at my high school.

My colleagues made me feel at home. I met four amazing people from different continents. They didn’t leave me alone even though I only weighed one week with them.

And finally I would like to thank you, Emil, and you, Mercedes, who organised everything for me. Without you, I would not have been able to travel so soon.

Finally, I would like to say that I have fallen in love with the city, the people and the atmosphere at TANDEM. I hope that in the near future I will be part of this wonderful city as a university student.
